Free Software Projects

I am a contributer to the movement of Free Software, also know as Libre Software. We are talking about freedom here, not about free beer.

KVim

KVim

The goal of KVim was first to port GVim to KDE, and second to have a Vim KPart. Imagine vim inside kmail, vim inside KDevelop. This now reality.

I've developed this with Thomas and was working especially on the KPart. The project has suceeded, with the help from Mickael Marchand. He is now the maintainer and does the really boring stuff (porting, fixing nasty bugs).

Indent Finder

Indent Finder

Finds the indentation being used inside a source file.

Pretty Make

Pretty Make

Pretty Make is a modest python script whose goal is to make the output of big compilations more pleasant and easier to read.

QCppUnit

QcppUnit

A test framework to perform unit testing. Qt makes it possible to test the user interaction, as I show in this example
Klotski

Klotski

A brick game written with PyQt. I really need some contributed levels.

KMerge

Kmerge

A powerful diff and merge tool. Unfortunately, I have never ported it from KDE1.

Freeciv Translation

I have been leading the french translation team of Freeciv. Was fun, and is over.

ENSTBr Forum

Forum

This is my very first contribution to a free software project. The forum is a discussion area with an organisation into topics, which resemble usenet a lot, but without hierarchy. There was a text client and a server with a nntp interface. The main interest of the forum is that it provides easy administration features (moving and deleting posts, moderation, smtp interface, ...). My contribution was a huge improvement of the text client IHM and some small stuff in the server.

Now, every site has a webbased forum, so this is getting obsolete. But the forum is still a key communication medium in the student life of the ENST Bretagne. I learnt a lot about Free Software by reading the guru in the forum.
